The Alfa Romeo Duetto Spider was introduced at the Geneva Automobile Parlour in 1966. It was built according to the last design which Battista Pininfarina, the founder of the Turin design company, was able to finish.

What experts appreciate about the 1750 most is its beauty combined with the highly agile Alfa-engine. These cars were always expensive: in Britain, in 1960, the 1750 Spider cost just a little less than the much faster E-type Jaguar. However, the Spider’s precise steering, exact five-speed-transmission and excellent disc brakes made driving it a fun experience which was hard to beat.

This Italian beauty became world-famous when Dustin Hoffman had the pleasure to drive it on California’s coastal road in the movie ‘The Graduate’. You can enjoy MOTOR CLASSIC’s Alfa Romeo Spider on the more than equally magnificent coastal drives around Cape Town.

The roundback Spider is the most sought-after of all the Spiders. The sporty Alfa engine combined with an exquisite transmission will keep you enthralled on the breathtaking mountain passes of the Cape as well. Fold down the top of this extremely beautiful cabriolet and let South Africa’s sun spoil you.
